THUNDER BAY – Highway 17 is open for one lane of traffic.
UPDATE: Road Closure: #Hwy17 both directions from #Nipigon to #Schreiber – Hwy 17 has reopened to one lane.
CP Rail says that almost two dozen cars left the rails, and the Transportation Safety Board has been on the scene to investigate.
The road closure impacted highway travel for almost twenty-four hours.
Travellers will be escorted through the area by Schrieber Fire and CP Railway Police.
