Fog Advisory in EffectTHUNDER BAY – WEATHER -UPDATED – The warmer weather today has caused heavy fog all across much of Northwestern Ontario. Road conditions for driving are seriously impacted by the fog.

Roads are in good winter driving condition, but visibility is expected to be near zero.

Extensive fog is occuring across the regions, with areas of dense fog with zero visibility. The fog will slowly lift and become more patchy late this morning.

Fog Advisory in effect for:

  • Dryden – Vermilion Bay
  • Ignace – English River
  • Atikokan – Shebandowan – Quetico Park
  • Upsala – Raith
  • Kenora – Grassy Narrows – Whitedog
  • Sioux Narrows – Nestor Falls – Morson
  • Nipigon – Red Rock

Fog has become quite extensive across the regions, with areas of dense fog also occurring.

Motorists should be prepared for zero visibility in areas of dense fog, and allow extra time to reach their destination.

Visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility. If travelling, be prepared for areas of near zero visibility.
