THUNDER BAY – BUSINESS – SHIFT Thunder Bay’s Young Professionals Network was pleased to host its 6th Annual Wine Tasting Mixer ‘Frost Yourself – A Sparkly Affair’, Presented by Grant Thornton LLP, on Thursday November 20th at Whitewater Golf Club. Supported by Jones & Associates, Firedog Communications, Whitewater Golf Club and Magic 99.9 & Country 105.3, over 150 young professionals enjoyed a lovely sit down dinner, wine tasting and the opportunity to bid on a range of silent auction items.

Opening remarks were led by SHIFT’s Director of Social Programs, Kateri Skaarup, followed by a fabulous speech by Seija Makelainen, a representative from Grant Thornton LLP. The theme ‘Frost Yourself – A Sparkly Affair’ was shown around the room by not only the décor, but by all those who attended as well. Studio 1 Photography captured the essence of the evening while guests posed in the frosted forest to capture their special moment. The room was filled with laughter and networking as enjoyed tasting arrays of wines as they moved from room to room at Whitewater Golf Club before sitting down to enjoy a fantastic 4-course dinner.

Transportation was provided for guests to and from the event to ensure everyone had a safe ride home.

This event would not have been possible without the support from our presenting sponsor Grant Thornton LLP and our supporting sponsors Jones & Associates, Firedog Communications, Whitewater Golf Club and Magic 99.9/Country 105.3. We would also like to thank Studio 1 Photography for capturing the excitement during the evening, TownePlace Suites – Marriott for providing the fabulous door prize, Sweet Escape Cake Café & Bakery for providing a ‘touch of frost’ cupcake for dessert, and finally to the auction sponsors & volunteers for their generous support! Thank you to everyone who attended and we hope to see you next year!
