North Stars beat the Dryden Ice Dogs at the Fort William Gardens
THUNDER BAY – SPORTS – The Thunder Bay North Stars topped the Dryden GM Ice Dogs in SIJHL hockey action. The Stars took the game 5-4 which brings the team to a 6-4 record, moving the North Stars up the line in the SIJHL standings.

The North Stars will take on the Minnesota Iron Rangers in another home game this coming Wednesday.

Tonight, the North Stars started early with a goal on their first shot of the game.

The two teams traded goals in a fairly even matching, during the second period the teams each scored one goal.

The teams traded goals in the second stanza.

Through the third period, the North Stars were under pressure from a strong effort from the GM Ice Dogs.Shots on goal favoured the North Stars as well. The tally was 35-25 in the North Stars corner.
