Comic Legend Joan Rivers at Mount Sinai Hospital

NEW YORK – Entertainment – Comedy Icon Joan Rivers remains in hospital. The eighty-one year old queen of comedy suffered heart failure and was taken to hospital Thursday. In a statement issued by the family, Joan River’s daughter Melissa Rivers states that the family “Has their fingers crossed”.

““My mother would be so touched by the tributes and prayers that we have received from around the world. Her condition remains serious but she is receiving the best treatment and care possible. We ask that you continue to keep her in your thoughts as we pray for her recovery,” stated Melissa Rivers.

Rivers was having vocal cord surgery done at a clinic in Manhattan on Thursday when she had a cardiac arrest and stopped breathing.

The extremely popular Joan Rivers was in a coma and is reportedly currently on life support at Mount Sinai Hospital.

Family, friends and fans of the comic legend are all hoping for the best.
