Fire Destroys West Hawk Lake Inn

KENORA – NEWS – Fire has burnt down the West Hawk Inn which is located on the Manitoba side of the Ontario/Manitoba provincial boundary.

The Inn was empty at the time the fire started according to the Falcon Beach RCMP Detachment. However smoke from the fire was serious enough to cause the West Hawk Campground to be evacuated. One camper at the campground had to be treated for smoke inhalation by Paramedics.

The cause of the fire is yet unknown but the Manitoba Office of the Fire Marshall is investigating.
