THUNDER BAY, ON – Jim Madder, President of Confederation College, accepted the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge from college employee, Ashleigh Quarrell yesterday.  After making a donation, Madder got chilly for ALS, noting in his video that he was doing this especially for a friend with the disease.

Madder nominated colleagues, Andrée Robichaud of the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, Brian Stevenson of Lakehead University, and the five northern college Presidents: Pierre Riopel (Collège Boreal), Bill Best (Cambrian College), George Burton (Canadore College), Fred Gibbons (Northern College) and Ron Common (Sault College).

Madder encouraged the college community and general public to make a donation and learn more about the disease at www.als.ca.
