THUNDER BAY – On August 21, 2014 at approximately 2:20AM, Thunder Bay Police Service uniformed officers attended a North Brodie Street apartment for a possible stabbing which had just occurred. When officers arrived they located a male outside the build who had been stabbed. The 28 year old male was taken to hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.

In a media release, police state, “The investigation revealed that the suspect male was inside an apartment in the same building. When the officers located the male inside his apartment he was holding a knife. He was eventually arrested without incident and transported to the Balmoral Police Station”.

Thirty-three-year old Christopher Copeland has been charged with Aggravated Assault and two counts of Breach of Probation.

He appeared in court this morning and has been remanded to the District Jail with a court date of August 22, 2014.
