Rainfall WarningATTAWAPISKAT – WEATHER – Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for Attawapiskat and Fort Albany.

Rainfall warning in effect for:

  • Attawapiskat
  • Fort Albany

Rainfall – morning to afternoon Monday.

Rain, at times heavy, is expected.

An area of low pressure tracking across northern Ontario is expected to generate high rainfall amounts over areas west of James Bay including the communities of Attawapiskat and Fort Albany. Rain is expected to begin this morning and continue for the remainder of the day overnight and into Monday. Total rainfall amounts of 50 to 70 mm are possible.

Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.

Rainfall Warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.
