THUNDER BAY – WEATHER – Rain and thunderstorms associated with a low over Northern Minnesota continue. General rainfall amounts in the 20 to 40 mm range are expected by tonight with locally higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Rainfall warning in effect for:

Dryden – Vermilion Bay
Ignace – English River
Armstrong – Auden – Wabakimi Park
Gull Bay – Black Sturgeon Lake
Atikokan – Shebandowan – Quetico Park
Upsala – Raith
Rainfall – overnight to late evening.

Rain, at times heavy, continues.

Rain and isolated thunderstorms associated with a low over northern Minnesota continue. Additional rainfall amounts of 30 to 40 mm are expected by tonight with higher local amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.

The rain will taper off today from west to east over Northwestern Ontario near the Manitoba border, but continue into tonight over areas near and north of Lake Superior.
