RCMP Report Three Officers Mortally Wounded

MONCTON – BREAKING UPDATED 22:10EDT – RCMP in New Brunswick are reporting that a manhunt is underway late Wednesday in the north end of Moncton. RCMP are hunting for a suspect reportedly armed with guns after an undisclosed number of people were shot.

RCMP have confirmed that two officers have been shot. Two RCMP officers are in hospital with non-life threatening injuries. RCMP are now reporting three officers mortally wounded.

RCMP are searching for 24-y-o Justin Bourque of Moncton. Anyone with information call 9-1-1. Bourque who is considered armed and dangerous.

There are unconfirmed reports from Moncton Radio that the shooter has been shot.

RCMP Const. Damien Theriault states that police are urging people in the area to stay inside. “We’re advising people to stay inside until further notice,” stated Theriault.
