THUNDER BAY – Golf – Scott Smith shares, “There’s just over 60 days till the event. The support from the community has been tremendous and things are progressing nicely, I hope everyone has had the chance to view our website at www.staalopen.ca.
We’ve had a tremendous amount of traffic to the site from all over the world which is great for the city of Thunder Bay. We have just wrapped up the third and final Q School for PGA TOUR Canada last weekend and the field looks stronger then ever with some very talented players coming to our event.
We also have a good line up of entertainment the weekend of the event which will help in drawing people from the region into our city thanks to our community partners.
Now it is your turn to get involved, you can volunteer to help in this exciting event.
“Volunteers are the backbone and the key to the success of any event and the Staal Foundation Open is in need of over 400 volunteers to make this event successful,” states Smith.
