Thunder Bay, ON – Entertainment – Wiggins Pro-Ductions will be hosting Kiss Me I’m Irish: St Patrick’s Day Bash, Friday, March 14 at The Foundry (242 Red River Road). The night will celebrate the patron saint of Ireland while showcasing some of the city’s top rock bands. The lineup includes RM & the Honest Heart Collective (folk rock), Don’t You(,) Mean People? (post-rock), and Abby Dowhos (rock n’ roll).

The idea RM & the Honest Heart Collective was created by brothers Ryan & Nicholas MacDonald (vocals/guitar, bass/vocals respectively) while they tossed demos back and forth over the Internet between Ottawa and Thunder Ba. When Ryan moved back home to Thunder Bay, the brothers enlisted long time friends, Jayden Savage (drums), Alex Robillard (keyboards/vocals), & Michael Medwick (lead guitar). Together they managed to make they’re own brand of folk infused rock n’ roll with a punk rock DIY mentality. The RM & the Honest Heart Collective EP was released in August 2013 and is currently on iTunes. The band brings an intoxicating, inspiring, and energetic live show that is only rivaled by successful touring acts. Currently the band is writing and recording they’re first full length LP at Lionheart Studios in Thunder Bay, while making tour plans for the spring of 2014.

Don’t You(,) Mean People? is a local post-rock trio made up of Mack Davis (bass), Taylor Price (guitar) and Alex Cummins (drums). Since their beginning in 2011, these three gentlemen have released a six-track album, titled EP!!, which is available at their shows. This past summer, the guys toured the southern Ontario circuit and are currently playing making their rounds in the local downtown scene. This spring, DYMP will be gearing up for a new musical release as well as planning another Canadian tour.

Abby Dowhos is a singer/songwriter from Thunder Bay. She has been involved in music and dancing since the age of three and performing has always been her passion, with an emphasis on singing and writing music. Abby plays with many different local musicians, often being asked to sit in to perform a variety of styles ranging from jazz & blues all the way to punk and heavy rock. Her current band is composed of Rob Gallagher (guitar), Ladis Suarez (bass) and Vance Niva (drums), all seasoned musicians that have been around the local music scene for years. Together, they produce an original sound that is primarily rock and roll, however you will find many sub-genres in the mix, including but not limited to blues, pop and ska. There’s no doubt that their music will make you want to get up and dance.

Doors open at 10pm. Cover is $5. Age of majority required. For more information visit Facebook.com/TBshows.
