SAULT STE MARIE – Sault Ste Marie Police have an extensive effort to make the community safer. Regular reports from the police in the Sault help keep the public aware of issues in their community and ensure the public is aware.

From the Crime Files:

Between the 31st of January and the 4th of February unknown persons broke into an apartment in the 100 block of Manitou Drive and stole a quantity of cash.

Thirty-three-year old Martin Vine of 89 Hudson Street will be appearing in bail court tomorrow. It is alleged that on the 4th of February the accused threatened to kill a male who is known to him. At the time he was on probation with a condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He is charged with one count of threatening death and one count of breach of probation.

A Twenty-six-year old female was arrested as a result of a domestic incident.

It is alleged that on the 4th of February the accused attended at the residence of her former boyfriend and while there she punched him in the face. She also used a broomstick to smash the windows out of his apartment. She will be appearing in bail court tomorrow charged with assault and threatening.

ARREST:   On February 3, 2014 at approximately 11:05 pm. officers attended in the 300 block of Albert Street East regarding a domestic related incident.  Investigation revealed that the accused aged 48, punched the victim in the face and then bit the victim on both arms.

The accused was arrested for assault and will appear in bail court on February 4, 2014 at 10:00AM.
