Professional Bull Riding In New York

NEW YORK – New York City and Riding Bulls might have you thinking about the New York Stock Exchange. This week it is Cowboys and real bulls as the Professional Bull Riders is centre stage at Madison Square Garden taking the most dangerous sport in rodeo to the top of the Big Apple.

Subzero temperatures didn’t stop Brazilian Fabiano Vieira and Canadian Ty Pozzobon from splitting the first round of the Monster Energy Buck Off at the Garden with 88.5-point rides apiece.

Vieira covered Messy Mossy while Pozzobon held on for eight seconds atop Alternator Friday night inside Madison Square Garden.

Chase Outlaw currently sits in third place after picking up 87.50 points on Amish Outlaw. Reigning PBR World Champion J.B. Mauney and 2009 PBR World Champion Kody Lostroh are tied for fourth with 87 points on Stay Thirsty and King Lopez, respectively.

New York is the kickoff of the 2014 PBR Built Ford Tough Series season at the World’s Most Famous Arena, Madison Square Garden, for the eighth consecutive year. The season ends Oct. 22-26 2014 in Las Vegas Nevada, at the PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals where the overall PBR World Champion will be crowned, presented the coveted championship belt buckle and awarded a $1 million bonus.
