THUNDER BAY – News – The District of Thunder Bay Social Services Administration Board has a new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).  Chair Bob Katajamaki announced today that the Board had unanimously appointed William Bradica as the new CAO.

Mr. Bradica has been with the organization since 2001 as Manager of Finance and in September 2011 his home position became Director of Corporate Services. Since March 2012 he has provided leadership to the organization as Acting Chief Administrative Officer.

“The Board is pleased that Mr. Bradica has agreed to continue to lead our team into the future.” said Katajamaki. “He has the expertise and experience to provide the leadership required to meet the challenges of the current economic times and growing demand for support of the most vulnerable in our community.”

Established by Provincial legislation in 1999, The District of Thunder Bay Social Services Administration Board (TBDSSAB) is responsible for the administration and delivery of three legislated social services in the District of Thunder Bay: Ontario Works, Social Housing, and Child Care. Guided by a Board of Directors comprised of elected representatives from throughout the District, TBDSSAB’s vision is to provide quality services within the context of a commitment to social justice and recognition of people’s potential to achieve self-sufficiency. The TBDSSAB is also the sole shareholder of Thunder Bay District Housing Corporation (TBDHC). The consolidated annual budget of TBDSSAB and TBDHC is $84.3 Million with a staff of 185.
