THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Fire Rescue report that there was a fire at the Upholstery Shop on May Street early this morning. The fire has caused extensive damage to the business located in the 400 Block of May Street.

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue deployed four pumpers along with their aerial platform truck to fight the fire.

The fire started just after 3:30AM and fire rescue responded by 3:40AM. The fire-fighting effort was a two hour battle to extinguish the blaze.

Fire investigators will be on site today investigating to determine the cause of the fire.
