THUNDER BAY – Business – Envana Energy Inc. is being presented with Authorized Service Provider Certification from Measurement Canada’s President, Alan Johnston, in a ceremony to be held at Envana Energy Inc., 46 Haniak Road, Thunder Bay, Ontario at 11:00 a.m. on October 22, 2013.
Envana Energy Inc. is the only active Service Provider based in Northwestern Ontario from Sudbury, Ontario to Winnipeg, Manitoba that provides a wide range of Measurement Canada examination services for volume based traders. This ensures equity and accuracy where goods and services are bought and sold on the basis of measurement, in order to contribute to a fair and competitive marketplace for Canadians by:
- Approving commercial weighing and measuring devices to ensure that they are designed to maintain their accuracy when being used in trade; and,
- Requiring that devices be inspected before their use in trade to ensure that they have been properly assembled, installed and calibrated.
An Authorized Service Provider is an organization that can inspect and certify devices on behalf of the Government of Canada. Organizations must meet the requirements of either the Accreditation Program or the Registration Program.
Envana Energy Inc. is located in Thunder Bay, Ontario and services Northwestern Ontario with its focus on industrial petroleum storage systems, Aviation storage and Delivery Systems and select Retail Sites.
Envana Energy Inc. is also registered as a Service Provider with Transport Canada as a B620 Tank inspection and repair facility.
