Tonights the Night for Breaking Bad

THUNDER BAY – Entertainment – Breaking Bad will hit the television screens tonight with the series finale. The AMC Network has run a Breaking Bad marathon on Saturday and Sunday leading up to the blockbuster cable network series final episode Sunday night.

Fans of the series will likely flood social media tonight posting on Facebook, Twitter and MySpace.

The series is proving popular with advertisers too. Commercials during the series finale will run up to $300,000 for a thirty-second spot. That works out to well over $9million per hour on the show’s last episode. AMC has confirmed that the series finale tonight is sold out for ads.

The penultimate episode of the split fifth season nabbed 6.6 million viewers. The run times of the final two episodes of the drama had been extended to 75 minutes, including commercials.
