Thunder Bay Police Continue on the Scene

THUNDER BAY – Updated – Thunder Bay Police were on the scene early this morning in County Park at a Wentworth Crescent address late on Friday night. From the scene, residents have reported that a man was taken from a home in custody.

The call brought EMS, Thunder Bay Fire Rescue and Thunder Bay Police to the scene at 22:30EDT.

A male suspect was removed from the scene in handcuffs.

Sources tell NNL that the individual removed from the scene was intoxicated, and unco-operative with police. The individual was taken to the ‘drunk tank’ and released later in the morning.

Other sources report (unofficially) that the individual in the home was apparently sleeping, or people thought he was sleeping. There is nothing official from TBPS.

From the scene, witnesses say that it appears that a body was removed from the scene. Police are not issuing any additional information on the incident at this time.

A Busy Week for Police

Thunder Bay Police have been dealing with a number of incidents over the past week. Several drug busts have been made, with hundreds of thousands of dollars of cocaine, oxycodone and other drugs and cash being seized.

Calls for service over the last week have jumped with Thunder Bay Police responding to up to 260 calls in a twenty-four hour period.
