Cancer Fighters Ladies of the Italian Society of Port Arthur

Ladies of the Italian Society of Port Arthur continue their generous tradition of supporting the Northern Cancer Fund with proceeds from their annual Spring Tea, among other donations. THUNDER BAY – Funds raised by the Ladies of the Italian Society of Port Arthur are instrumental in ensuring patients in Northwestern Ontario have access to life-saving cancer screening programs, diagnosis and treatment.

In fact, while Lena and Rita were at the Health Sciences Centre, they got to see the new Screen for Life Mobile Coach that will take to the roads of our region in July, providing cancer screening for breast, colorectal and cervical cancers. Said Lena, “That coach saved my life – I went for a mammogram and they found my breast cancer.”

Every donation from our community brings us closer to exceptional cancer care for our families and friends.
