CAMP QUALITY – So what do you do on a rainy day at Camp Quality? You improvise! We started off the day with a delicious breakfast and a trip by bus to Amethyst Mine.

First Student Canada has provided free bus service to our organization since 2002. Judy and Edith line up quickly to be our bus drivers. It wouldn’t be camp without them!

The Lukinuk family at Amethyst Mine were excellent hosts and we came away laden with amethyst.

Our afternoon plans at the beach were changed so the group had a chance to gel over some intense board games.

Other visitors were Pierre from KC Hockey League, Mike and Kristie from KOA and Gerry and Jo Ann from J& J Sports. These are some of our supporters that will be visiting us this week.

The evening came to a close with a performance from Graeme and Matt, former camper and volunteer.

A fine snack this evening was thanks to the Fort Kinsmen who lent us this beautiful popcorn machine.

Clara

This is the second year that NetNewsLedger.com has hosted the Camp Quality Northwest blog. We are pleased to support the work of Clara, the work of Camp Quality, and the ongoing battle to beat cancer. On a personal note, cancer has taken both of my grandparents, it tried to take my mom. There are few people in Northwestern Ontario who are not impacted by cancer. When cancer takes on children, it is time for us all to rally to help them.
Camp Quality will be connected this year by Tbaytel with Internet from East Loon Lake at the Thunder Bay United Church Camp Duncan.
