CHICAGO – Sports – The Stanley Cup will come to Thunder Bay this summer! Patrick Sharp and the Chicago Blackhawks took the trophy in Game Six of the Stanley Cup Final.

The Blackhawks took the game away from Boston with two goals in the dying minutes of the game to tie and then win the game.

Chicago Blackhawks center Dave Bolland scored a goal that every kid who grabs a hockey stick dreams of scoring. A goal that wins the Stanley Cup.

Dave Bolland’s goal  came with only 58.3 seconds left in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final.

The goal put the Chicago Blackhawks into a historic comeback and made it a 3-2 decision against the stunned Boston Bruins at TD Garden. Chicago’s Bryan Bickell had tied the game 17 seconds earlier with an extra-attacker goal.

“When don’t you dream about it?” Bolland asked rhetorically. “We all dream about scoring that Stanley Cup winner.”

There is no word yet when the Stanley Cup will come back home to Thunder Bay.

Last time, the Stanley Cup toured the city, including a stop at the Boys and Girls Club at their Windsor clubhouse.
