OPP Ontario Provincial PoliceNIPIGON – Crimebeat – Nipigon detachment OPP offices made a traffic stop that led to a number of charges. On April 22, 2013 at approximately 19:40EDT, Officers conducted a traffic stop west of Pays Plat First Nation at Highway 17, in the Township of Wiggins for a Highway Traffic Act offence.

The driver of the vehicle, a newer model Dodge Caravan, and the passenger failed to provide information to police.

OPP Officers Make Drug Bust

After investigation, officers determined that the driver had verbally identified using a false name.  As a result, the driver and the passenger were arrested and returned to Schreiber detachment.   A search warrant for the vehicle was obtained and drugs were located by officers.

The male driver, 20 year old Yousif JAJOU, of Mississauga, Ontario, has been charged with:

  • Personation with intent to gain Advantage,
  • Obstruct Police,
  • Fail to Comply with a court Order contrary to the Criminal Code
  • Possession of Ecstasy
  • Possession of Marijuana Under 30 grams contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
  • numerous Highway Traffic Act offences.

The male was released and is to appear at Schreiber Court on June 27, 2013 to answer to these charges.
