THUNDER BAY – Business – I smile as I write this entry, because this is one of the reasons I enjoy my life so much.  The reason – I spend all my time in the here and now. I had an amazing weekend with my best friend, here to celebrate my birthday with me, but that time has passed and to spend all my time remembering robs me of today.  And besides, I spent all my time with her when she was here; she was honoured, leaving me guilt-free to move on.

I smile as I write

Tomorrow may never come and even when it does it is not up to me how it plays out.  I can work hard, pack light, prepare, but in the end, it will be exactly what I need and spending my time worrying about it does nothing but rob me of today.  It will have its time … tomorrow.

Here and now means that triggers that remind me of the past need not take me there.  The past with its pains and sorrows, its joys and accomplishments, had my attention then … but I am here and it is now.

So today my friend BE PRESENT in your own life.  When your child shares that story, focus on THEM and their words – they are little for such a short time.  When your friend calls either say you are busy or listen.  Friends cannot be taken for granted.  They are one of our greatest gifts after all but then, so is your dream.

Take your time today to focus on your dream, on achieving it, on taking action not just thinking.  Eliminate distractions, focus then achieve!  Your dream deserves that.  After all, it IS your most fragile child.

There you have it my friend, the recipe for getting all you can out of these next 24 hours.

Repeat tomorrow and the next day and the next day and you will soon find that months haven’t flown by, but rather collections of individual DAYS have passed, HOURS of life, MINUTES of excitement and enjoyment and you were there … to enjoy them all.

I love you!
