Paterson Park getting prepared for Holiday Fun with 18th Annual Tree Lighting

THUNDER BAY – The Fort William Business District and the Victoriaville Centre invite you and your family to help ring in the holiday season at their 18th Annual TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY  which is taking place on Friday, November 23 at Paterson Park (corner of Miles & May Street).

Everyone is invited to sip apple cider provided by First Wesley United Church as they join in the singing of Christmas Carols led by St. Patrick’s Cathedral Choir at 6:00 pm, followed by the lighting of the giant tree at 6:30 pm.

You are invited as well to join in the free Dell Farm hayrides throughout Downtown Fort William from 6:30 to 8:30, and then warm up with hot cocoa and Robin’s eggs while listening to the sounds of Jim ‘n I in the “Green” in Victoriaville Centre.

In keeping with the spirit of giving, the B.I.A. and Victoriaville Centre are requesting donations of non-perishable food items to support Shelter House and/or clothing donations ~ new born to size 16 for Precious Bundles Clothing Assistance Program.

Special thanks to The Lakehead Region Conservation for donating our tree and to Tbaytel for cutting, transporting and securing the tree in Patterson Park.
