THUNDER BAY – Breaking News – THUNDER BAY – A State of Emergency has been declared in the City of Thunder Bay.

The city is asking that you please avoid using water, as there are problems at the Atlantic Avenue pumping station. The pumping station is offline right now.

Homeowners are asked not to flush any non-essential water until the situation is addressed.

The portion of the plant that pumps sewage into the facility is under water. Pumps are being used to draw water from the area of the main pumps to allow an assessment of the damage.

Please avoid flushing toilets, using the shower, and using water if possible.

Sandi Boucher now advises that the Thunder Bay Centre of Change is closed for the day.
