NOMA Set for General Meeting in Kenora

Leaders on the stage at the ValhallaTHUNDER BAY – The Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association will hold its 66th Annual General Meeting and Conference on April 25-27 at the Best Western Lakeside Inn, in Kenora Ontario.

The conference agenda includes the following:

  • A Minister’s Forum with the Honourable Michael Gravelle (Natural Resources), the Honourable Kathleen Wynne (Municipal Affairs & Housing and Aboriginal Affairs), and Bill Mauro, Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Northern Development Mines & Forestry
  • Tim Hudak, Leader of the Ontario Progressive Conservative Party;
  • Andrea Horwath, Leader of the Ontario New Democratic Party;
  • Gord Hume, Keynote speaker “Taking back our Communities”.

The event will also feature the official launch of the new NOMA logo that has been developed as part of our organizational strategic plan. The symbol represents three regions coming together and working collaboratively with forward momentum on our common issues. The colours represent the natural beauty of our land, lakes and forests while the green also portrays prosperity and growth.
