Ms. Turmel has shown a lack of good judgement – Sarah Campbell MPP

Sarah Campbell-MPPKENORA – Leader’s Ledger – I would like to express my sincere appreciation to my federal colleagues Bruce Hyer (Thunder Bay-Superior North) and John Rafferty (Thunder Bay-Rainy River).

Both John and Bruce have respected the wishes of their constituents, which is the primary job of each elected official. I commend them showing such strong leadership in taking this position.

I consider both John and Bruce good friends and I know they have nothing but the utmost respect for their constituents, as shown by their actions.

I am concerned and disappointed with the position taken by interim federal NDP leader Nicole Turmel. Unfortunately Ms. Turmel has shown a lack of good judgement in her decision to impose sanctions on Mr. Hyer and Mr. Rafferty.

I look forward to the selection of a new leader of the New Democratic Party next month, when hopefully we can put these regrettable sanctions behind us.
