crimebeatTHUNDER BAY – Crimebeat – It took alert employees, a Diamond Lacey taxi driver and Thunder Bay Police, but a would-be Macs Mart robber didn’t do too well in his attempted career of crime. Just before 4:00AM this morning, a male entered the Mac’s Mart on Syndicate Ave.

The suspect walked behind the counter and punched the employee. A female customer held back the accused while he was trying to steal money and assault the employee.

The male then left the store and was followed by a Diamond Lacey taxi until police arrived moments later to arrest him.

A 25 year old local male is in custody for robbery and breaching his probation. He will be attending court later today.
