Ontario VotesTHUNDER BAY – There is one of the provincial party leaders who has stepped up to say that they will attend the Northern Leader’s Debate. Andrea Horwath is the first party leader to say she is in.

Horwath states, “Last week, I released the New Democrat plan for the North in Sudbury, Sturgeon Falls and Thunder Bay. Our Respect for the North plan focuses on creating and protecting good jobs, making life in Northern Ontario more affordable, and empowering the North to make key decisions about its future. For New Democrats, part of respect for the North means a debate among party leaders in the North.

“To this end, I accept your invitation to the proposed leaders’ debate in Thunder Bay on September 23rd, 2011—with the stipulation that Mr. McGuinty and Mr. Hudak participate in the debate”.

Sources tell NetNewsledger.com that PC leader Hudak is seriously considering attending the debate which is sponsored by the Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association (NOMA). There remains no information yet if Liberal leader and Premier Dalton McGuinty will attend.
