John Rafferty Musing on Run for NDP Leadership

John Rafferty MPTHUNDER BAY – John Rafferty, the Member of Parliament for Thunder Bay Rainy River is seeking input. Rafferty has posted on his Facebook page that a lot of people are encouraging him to run for Leader of the federal New Democratic Party.

“Lots of folks are suggesting I run for leader of the NDP. What do you think?,” asked Rafferty on his Facebook Page.

The NDP Leadership Convention will be held in March 2012.

So far some of the other names being tossed about as possible leadership candidates include; Peter Julian, Charlie Angus, Paul Dewar, Robert Chisholm, Nathan Cullen, Romeo Saganash, Megan Leslie and Peggy Nash.

Charlie Angus the NDP MP for James Bay Timmins has announced he is not going to seek the NDP leadership.
