THUNDER BAY – Lakehead Athletics will kick off the 2011-12 season with the annual Midnight Madness event at the C.J. Sanders Fieldhouse (aka the Thunderdome) on Friday, September 9. This Thunderous event gives the public and all new Lakehead students a chance to get a first hand look at what Lakehead’s varsity teams have to offer on the ice, hardwood, snow, and track and field in the seasons to come.
The event features an introduction of all Lakehead varsity teams and two short inter-squad exhibition basketball games by the men’s and women’s varsity programs.
This pep rally always entertains and thrills longtime Lakehead fans and the new crop of students here at Lakehead with prizes, giveaways and action for all to enjoy. Our newly arrived students officially become part of ‘The Wolf Pack’.
Doors open at 11:30 pm, with the event commencing at 12 midnight.
