FIGHTTHUNDER BAY – As we continue to upgrade NetNewsledger.com, there are several new features on the site. We have added a Games portal, a classified ads section, and from reader requests added “Fight”. The Games Portal features online video games. You can create an account and save your scores and compete against other players.

Our new classified ads section has come together as a result of requests from readers as well. You can post your ads for free, and reach out to sell your used or unwanted goods. We have also established sections specific for local business.

The brand-new Fight section will feature the latest news and information from the world of Mixed Martial Arts, including the UFC. As well reports from the world of professional boxing will grace the pages. In addition we will have news and information about professional wrestling. Thunder Bay has a growing base of Fight enthusiasts. NNL Fight will become, we believe your source for the latest news and information about your favourite sports.

New writers are coming onboard as well. Welcome to James Mauro, Scott Hobbs, and Starchild Stella Koostachin. We are also looking to add more coverage on local sports, and adding a massive upgrade to our entertainment news. Working with Animal Rescue Thunder Bay, we have added a “Rescue of the Week” feature.

Behind the scenes, you may notice that the site is much faster. NetNewsledger.com has tweaked the site, upgraded the server, and will continue with the speed upgrades through August. There is much more still to come. We are not even at the halfway point in the overall upgrade on your NNL. We are very excited by the response from you, our readers. We are also very encouraged by the growth in readership on NetNewsledger. While in many cases, to most people, statistics are boring, our webstats are showing that our average visitor is reading upwards of 18 pages on NetNewsledger.com, and investing almost half an hour per day on the site.

None of what is happening could be happening without the help of you, our readers, along with our advertisers.

Thank you, Meegwetch, Merci, Kiitos, Grazie, and Tika hoki!
