BookkeepingTHUNDER BAY – Sherry Abotossaway is an Ojibwe woman from Wikwemikong Unceded Indian Reserve on Manitoulin Island. Her Aboriginal name is Nimkii Kwe which means Thunder Woman.

As an active member of PARO, Sherri has spearheaded the development of the Aboriginal Business Network, a business cluster which will bring Aboriginal-owned businesses together to network and share resources with one another and the broader community. In addition to participating in PARO business training workshops, both as a participant and presenter, Sherry also volunteers her time as a mentor for other entrepreneurial women. She believes the assistance and networking opportunities she has received at PARO have been invaluable to her personally, and her business.

Sherry started her career as a bookkeeper and office manager in her family business after moving to Thunder Bay in 2000. Eventually, Sherry decided to branch out on her own and opened her current business, Nimkiikwe Bookkeeping and Office Management. She specializes in working with larger companies, but also loves to help small and medium sized businesses with their bookkeeping and the day-to-day management of their offices.

Sherry is also the proud mother of 3 girls, Brooke, Bridgitte and Alyssa. As her children are growing she is increasingly able to focus her energy and creativity into her business and enjoys opportunities to network and be active in the community.

Nimkiikwe Bookkeeping & Office Management offers bookkeeping as well as managing your office,all aspects.I have 9 years experience in office management and bookkeeping. Rates are very competitive and I also offer pick up and drop off of bookkeeping.
