THUNDER BAY – A workshop on preliminary facility configuration and site options for a proposed Multipurpose Event Centre (Multiplex) that is taking place tonight at the Avila Centre with SHIFT: Thunder Bay’s Young Professionals Network, will also be available through a live stream on www.netnewsledger.com.
The City is looking for citizens’ views, comments and suggestions as the planning phase moves into its next stage, and site locations and business models are being narrowed down.

The Live Broadcast will start at about 6:30PM.

“This facility could be a major economic development catalyst for the City, but it must also be affordable to taxpayers and have a strategic location that maximizes opportunity to draw events, users and visitors at a regional, national and international level,” said City Manager Tim Commisso.
These live-stream broadcasts can be either viewed live, or can be viewed later.

There are several documents online on the City of Thunder Bay website that can assist people in these meetings. They include the Strategic Plan, and Renew Thunder Bay plan.
