Thunder Bay – First Place and Second to None!

476

THUNDER BAY – Smaller cities sometimes get the rap that there isn’t as much to do as in the big cities. Personally, I suspect that somewhere in Los Angeles, New York, or Paris there are young people complaining “There’s nothing to do”.

Thunder Bay offers a lot of choices for young and old alike. Sometimes it takes being away from our city on the north of Lake Superior for people to truly appreciate what we have.

If you ever notice, often after people leave, that is when they realize what they had when they lived here.

Its more than the Persians, and more than The Hoito. Thunder Bay has all the things to do, and more of any larger city. We have, through Magnus Theatre, and the Cambrian Players some amazing local plays and productions.

Our local music scene is bopping with the best.

Sports? From Thunder Bay come some of the best and classiest hockey players in the world. Our curling, ice racing, sailing, fishing and hunting could be used as the definition for world class.

While some boast that Toronto or Montreal are the centre of all that is chic in Canada, Thunder Bay offers its own class.

Taking a different view of our city is always a way of making sure that we appreciate all that we have, and all we have the potential to be.

Thunder Bay’s best days are yet to come. The “Emerging Thunder Bay” is an exciting place to be right now.
