Share Your Dream!

NIPIGON  – “What is your dream?” That is the question that the township of Nipigon is asking people across North America, and across Northwestern Ontario. Nipigon is getting set for the official grand opening of the Paddle to the Sea Park.

It is a quest that can bring in young and old alike.

Today, Douglas shared that his dream is to have his own city. Jared shared that his dream is to be a pilot, Berian shared that his dream is to be an electrican.

Laurenn’s dream is to go to Hawaii! She is nine, and lives in Thunder Bay.

The young boys, all aged under ten have interesting dreams. Sharing them can help make them come true.

The message is simple, from Nipigon, is to create a Work of Art about a Dream that is important to you.

Your work of art will then be on display at the Grand Opening of the Paddle-to-the-Sea Park in Nipigon, Ontario and maybe even on the internet or in print!

The Public Ceremony will be held at 12pm on May 14th, 2010 at the Nipigon Marina.

Paddle-to-the-Sea is the story of adventures we have when we Dare to Dream!

Paddle-to-the-Sea is an award winning book about the Great Lakes written by Holling C. Holling.

We built the Paddle-to-the-Sea Park in our town because the story starts on the Nipigon River, where a young lndian boy dreams of travelling all the way from Nipigon, through the Great Lakes, to the Atlantic Ocean. You can shore in the adventures that follow by visiting the Paddle-to-the-Sea Park!
